Cyber Challenge and Industry Day

Jordklotet sett från rymden.

Welcome to the Cyber Security Competition Cyber Challenge and the recruitment fair Industry Day, held concurrently at the Swedish Defence University (Försvarshögskolan) on 5 February 2026.

Cyber Challenge is the Swedish Defence University’s policy-based cyber security competition for students. The aim of the competition is to deepen understanding of cyberattacks, their methods, and the challenges they pose to governments, public authorities, and citizens. At the same time, Industry Day takes place – a recruitment fair offering a unique opportunity to network and connect with students from the Swedish Defence University and other higher education institutions with an interest in cyber security.

Who Can Participate in the Competition?

The competition is open to students enrolled at a university or higher education institution. Participants apply in teams of four (4) students and may be supported by a coach from their institution (optional but recommended). For the best results, students are encouraged to form teams across departmental boundaries and with diverse study backgrounds. Students from different universities or institutions may not form a joint team; each team must consist of students from the same institution.

Industry Day – A Recruitment Fair Focused on Networking

The recruitment fair takes place in the lobby of the Swedish Defence University. As an exhibitor, you have the opportunity to network and connect with students, present your organisation, and describe what you are looking for in future colleagues. Whether your organisation is actively recruiting or seeking to raise awareness of your work, Industry Day provides a powerful platform to be visible, network, inspire, and attract new talent.
