- I am Professor of Leadership and Command & Control at the Swedish Defence University, Professor of Risk and Sustainability at Lund University, and Extraordinary Professor at North-West University (South Africa). I have also spent a significant part of my career working in risk and crisis management for authorities and international organisations. I have a multidisciplinary background with a PhD in Sociology and another PhD in Engineering (+MRes in Politics) and engage in transdisciplinary research about societal safety, security and sustainability. At the Swedish Defence University, I focus primarily on command & control and collaboration in total defence and crisis management, with an emphasis on multi-actor contexts, but also on the impact of leadership on these functions. The focus is also on what constitutes actors' individual and collective capabilities and how these can be developed.
