- Magnus Christiansson's main research interests are defence policy, Nordic-Baltic Sea security, and NATO. His most recent publications are (together with Tuomas Forsberg) is NATO's Northern Enlargement - Finland and Sweden's Path to Membership (Bristol University Press, 2025), and a chapter on Swedish defence policy in an anthology (ed. Ingvar Mattson, Dialogos). He is currently working on a chapter together with Jacob Westberg on Sweden in an anthology on small-to-medium powers (eds. Philip Baxter & Balazs Martonffy, Palgrave Macmillan), a chapter on Sweden in NATO in an anthology (ed. Michele Testoni, Routledge) and a chapter on NATO.
